Greetings!
As the President of the Asian American Psychological Association
(AAPA), it is my pleasure to welcome you to our online
community! Founded in 1972, the AAPA is the oldest national
psychological organization dedicated to advancing
the welfare of Asian Americans through the development of
Asian American psychology.
As a community of graduate students,
researchers, teachers,
and practitioners in psychology, we welcome all professionals
interested in Asian American psychology to become members.
It is my belief that the strength of our Association comes
from the diversity of individuals who come together in
common cause to advance the psychological well-being of
Asian American communities through their professional
practice, science and teaching.
So, I would invite you to
explore our community in the hope that we could be of help
to you. Please feel free to contact me or any of our officers if
you have any questions or issues you would like to discuss
related to Asian American psychology. The contact information
for our Executive Committee is located on the left under the
“About AAPA” link.
Three of our most visible services provided to members include
our Email Listserv (for sharing information and discussion
of relevant issues), our Newsletter, and our Annual Convention.
You will find links to these activities as well as others
in our webpage. I hope that you will enjoy your visit to our
webpage and find something of service to you.
