List of Hurricane Relief Organizations


•         American Red Cross - Donations can be made online by going to www.redcross.org/ or by calling (800) HELP NOW. If you would like to volunteer at a local Red Cross site near you, you can go online to www.redcross.org/where/chapts.asp For information about friends or relatives go online to www.familylinks.icrc.org/katrina  or call 1-877-LOVED-1S.

•       America's Second Harvest: Food Bank Network & Hunger Relief. Donations can be made online at www.secondharvest.org  

•        Direct Relief International - Donations can be made online at www.directrelief.org or by phone at 805-964-4767. Checks and money orders can be mailed to Direct Relief International, 27 S. La Patera Lane, Santa Barbara, Calif. 93117.

•        United Way - Donations can be made online at national.unitedway.org or by phone at 800-272-4630. Checks and money orders can be mailed to United Way of America, PO Box 630568, Baltimore MD 21263

•        Florida Hurricane Relief Fund. The Fund is taking donations for the relief and support of Hurricane survivors coming into Florida, as well as for Floridians affected by the storm. Donations can be made online at www.flahurricanefund.org/donate.php

•         AmeriCares. Donations can be made online at www.americaresfoundation.org or by calling (800) 486-HELP. Checks can also be sent, payable to AmeriCares, to AmeriCares 88 Hamilton Avenue, Stamford CT 06902.

•         Habitat for Humanity. Donations can be made online or you can also volunteer to lend a hand www.habitat.org

•         Catholic Charities. Donations can be made online at www.catholiccharitiesusa.org or by calling
(800) 919-9338. Checks can also be made to Catholic Charities USA 2005 Hurricane Relief Fund, PO Box 25168, Alexandria, VA 22313-9788

•         United Jewish Federation. Donations can be made online at secure.ujcfederations.org or by calling
(800) 919-9338. Checks can also be made to United Jewish Communities, P.O. Box 30, Old Chelsea Station, New York, NY 10113 Attention: Hurricane Katrina.

•         B'nai B'rith International - Donations can be made online at
www.bnaibrith.org or mailed to B'nai B'rith Disaster Relief Fund, 2020 K
